Question: How come the 3 credit score companies, experian, equifax, and transunion, all have my credit score different?Like one has 685, 692, 669 yet my overall (which i guess is my average) is 680
Answer: -Your actual score as looked at by a lender is the middle of the 3. So its 685. Each one reports slightly differently. Some things that are on equifax may not be on experian or vice versa. So over time the scores get calculated a little different. The normal range should be about 30 pts. So you are looking ok. They say when the range of scores gets over 70 pts you should find out why and try to fix it. -Each of the three companies may have slightly different information that can occur for a variety of reasons. In addition, each use a somewhat different "model" when calcualting your score. The important thing is for you to make sure they are accurate! -Actually, for mortgage credit purposes you assigned score will be the middle score of 685. Each of the agencies uses slightly different criteria in establishing a score so there will always be differences. -That means that not all of your creditors reported to all 3 companies consistently.
