Question: Trying to repair bad credit. need a major credit card approval to start building.any suggestions?I've never had a credit card before, but have been told if i establish good credit with acard company it will begin to repair my bad credit.my bank declined to give me their in-house visa. are there any companies willing to help me?
Answer: -Go to Capital One online.. Apply for a card with a smaller limit and a small annual fee (like 15 bucks) -My Mortgage Co. told me to have mom or dad, good friend etc. put your name on their cards, and it won't effect their credit but help yours. As long as they pay them. It should really boost them if they pay on time! -You need to find a bank that has a secured credit card program. You put an agreed upon amount of money in their bank and they issue you a credit card. After a while, when you have maintained a good record with them, they will give you your money back, increase your credit line, etc. -Have you tried visa??? i know i keep tryin to build my credit but i was 18.. they sent me a student visa and i still have it.... i would just keep applying and eventually someone will give u one, btw.....stay away from capiutol one and household bank,,,,, they always try to screw u. im tryin to pay off my capitol one now..... my ma was about to go to court for household, due to their mistakes. -Get a secured credit card. You have to put money down on it, usually around $500.00, and then that is all you can spend. But it shows up on your credit report as a normal card and will help to raise your credit scroes. Usually Capital One has something like that.
