Best way to repair bad credit?

Question: Best way to repair bad credit?Short of the obvious,is anyone fimiluar with working with a specific "bad credit" repair company. I have been told they can pretty much wipe your credit clean and find that very hard to believe. I have tax leins and a discharged bankruptcy on my report and was told they can wipe that out.Very doubtful I believe, and dont want to just start throwing money out to these people with no results. Can anyone reccommend the best and safest solution in repairing my history and what actually can be removed?

Answer: -Tax leins and discharged bankruptcy can not be wiped out by a "bad credit" repair company. What they do is scam you. They do the same thing that you could do if you didn't have the tax leins and discharged bankruptcy that takes a limited amount of time to come off automatically. 10 years for sure on the bankruptcy. tax leins may be longer. You do not have to pay back the discharged bankruptcy to get your credit back. It will happen in 10 years. But you can grow your credit back slowly as the 10 years go away. You do that by paying your bills on time and making sure you don't apply for to many loans in a short period of time. Also, try not to have more out going than incoming money's as far as the credit agencies can see. Make sure you pay your utilities on time also because they can also lower your score. I have no idea about the tax lein as far as paying them back to remove it.. Hopefully that isn't one of those that is on there forever... -The best way is to pay bills that will be reported to the credit reporting agencies on time, it is better to be late on a heating bill then a credit card, with the rise of inflation it seems that we are all in the same boat. but the credit card companies still send out all those applications every day in the mail. it seems like once you get caught up the bills start rolling in again. it is never ending.
