Question: Credit repair . anyone that has good advice...?ok my credit is not good , but its not cause of an outstanding amount of money owed, its because i have many student loans on it and no cards or phones or anything like that on it , so the only thing really on my credit is my student loans, i Deferred 6 of them and totally forgot about one , and now its a lien and they are garnishing my wages. But i know that i need to start establishing my credit. I have tried applying for things but i am always denied. How could i start building my credit so that i could establish it and be able to work with it , cause right now i can't get ANYTHING under my name.
Answer: -Anyway, try and get a co-signer, if you can, on a small loan or credit card. Or even have someone with good credit put your name on their credit card. You don't ever have to use it or even know the number, but having your name on it will help your score too. -Getting a co-signer on a loan does not always improve your credit. Also, your applying for all of those credit cards and getting rejected is not good for your overall credit score. Plus, one company looks at your credit and sees that another company has already denied you credit is bad. With a lien on your wages, it's a triple-header, but I would advise you to carefully consider the application before applying. For now, it may be a good thing to not apply for any further credit for a few months, continue paying (well, you have no choice)on your loan, and if it's at all possible, try one of the secured loans like depositingmoney in an account for you to use and in which you pay them back. In essence, you are paying yourself back.
