Your creid score is dofferent depending on which company does the scoring.Just because you have a lot of credit cards will not necessarily give you a low score. Its how you service them that counts. If you have 5, are they all paid off, how much do you owe, have you missed any payments.In fact if you have NO credit cards you can end up with a lower credit score - they need evidence of your spending and ability to pay off debt in order to rate you.Me personally, I have 7 credit cards. All paid off, I use one for Tesco clubcard points, one for foreign transactions, one for Internet purchases and some others. I take out cards for free gifts, get the gift and then close it down!
