Question: Credit card Question please help.?To all of the intelligent people that understand fully how the process goes please help me out. THe only time I have ever had a card was thru my bank card and I went over 100 dollars to buy all of my books for college. With that I know I have bad credit so where and how should I apply for a credit card to rebuild my credit up.Also exolain what APR and all that other stuff means. I want instant approval and I want my card within 24 hours so if u know what your talkin about please help...
Answer: -Going over your credit limit on a debit card 'once' will not ruin your credit.A history of poor management provides a low credit score. However, being new to having credit (no established history) will also give you a lower score. With no established credit, you can get a card 'instantly', however the limit will be low (can't spend much) and the interest will be high (you will have to pay back much more than you spent/borrowed).Call your own bank, who probably have the most complete history, and discuss a credit card with them. Allowing them to set up automatic payment from your checking account makes you a more trustworthy customer for them. -If I were you I'd go for a capital one card. It's a great starter & rebuilder card. APR is the "annual percentage rate". You will NOT get a card within 24 hours, they all take 7-14 days to get to your home. Go to www.capitalone.com click on credit cards [[at the left]] and find the card for me... click on limited credit history tab or needs improvement tab.. click "Capital One Standard Platinum" . This card has no Annual fee attached, no security deposit & the limits run from $300-$3000 [[depending on credit]]. The apr is 19.8% which is not great, but its not horrible either. Click on apply now & follow the steps.
